EARLY LIFE

Rivera was raised in Valencia, Santa Clarita, California and has lived in or around Los Angeles for most of her life. Naya Rivera is of half Puerto Rican,quarter African American and quarter German descent. Her parents are George and Yolanda Rivera. At Eight or Nine years old Naya began to be respresented by the same talent agent as her mother,who had moved to Los Angeles for Modeling. Her first major role was in the Royal Family at the age of four.

CAREER

 Naya rivera appeared in commercials for Kmart, but her first significant acting job was the age of for whe she started as Hillary Winston in the Eddie Murphy producted sitcom Te Royal Family in 1991. The show received positive reviews and high rating initially, but when the star Redd Foxx suffered a sudden heart attack on set the show never recovered and was soon canceled. Nonetheless, Naya Rivera received a Young Artist Award nomination for her performance.

Between 1992 and 2002 she had small roles in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Family Matters, Live Shot,   Baywatch

GLEE

Naya is ofcourse best known for her role on GLEE,wich is currently filming its fourth season. Naya plays as Santana Lopez, the bitchy cheerleader whose storylines were developed in season two to reveal that Santana is in fact a lesbian,hopelessly in love with her best friend Brittany S. Pierce. Romantically,Santana Lopez has been involved with Noah Puckerman, Sam Evans and Finn Hudson. She also dated Dave Karofsky in the third season.  However this was purely for show, as both Dave and Santana are Gay and were simply acting as a couple.
